Many young women plan their wedding from a very young age. By the time they are ready to plan their wedding they have already envisioned the entire process. The dress, cake, decor, have all been thought through and every detail has been imagined. But, the budget that is available to make that dream a reality sometimes creates a problem and it is then that a couple must work together to find some bright ideas for weddings on a budget.

Strategy: Having a written strategy that lists all of the items that will need to be addressed will help an individual to stay on track. The strategy should include every item that is important to the individuals getting married as well as those who are contributing to the wedding party. Once the strategy is in place and agreed to items cannot be added. It is important to the budget that the strategy not be altered after it is finalized.

Budget: Most important to enjoying a wedding that is not draining on finances is to sit down and establish a budget. It is important to discuss what items or parts of the wedding are “must haves” and include these in the budget. Those items that are not as important can be placed at the bottom of the list and discussed if there is money left over for extras.
