15 Hints and Tips to Help You Plan Pensacola Florida Beach Weddings

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Pensacola beach is the perfect local if you are set on a beach wedding. With 52 miles of clean sandy beaches, crystal clean waters, and over 300 days a year of sunshine. It also offers a variety of hotels and larger style homes along the beach so your guests have a place to stay.

Things you may not need to consider with your traditional wedding take on added importance with a beach wedding. I’ve outlined some hints and tips to help:

1) Before you set the date (which can be very hard to change later) make sure to check on the weather reports in the area for tides (when they come in and out), average temperatures, when rain may be most likely, etc. Temperatures can be in the low 60’s from December until March in Pensacola.

3) There are quite a few events that take place yearly in Pensacola. You could plan your big day around one of these:

Mardi Gras Street Party in February

Jazz Festival in April

* July is the Blue Angels Air Show

September: Seafood is the theme during the Seafood Festival

* October is the Pensacola Interstate Fair

Creating a Beach Wedding Theme

Saturday, September 5th, 2009

A wedding has become much more than a blushing bride in a white dress walking down the aisle to say those two magical words, “I do”. Although that precious moment is still a very important factor, many couples wish to break away from tradition and create for themselves a totally unique and unforgettable experience. One way to do this is by having beach wedding favors and decorations like seashells on tables and bridesmaids dresses in a sea blue tone with ruffled wave-like trim.

Everything about a theme wedding can be completely unique, from the cake to the decorations. It is nice to have a flowing theme for the wedding and some brides choose to have a beach wedding, especially if they wish to get married in a colder time of the year. Also, so many cute ideas can come from a beach wedding, like starfish cake toppers and sprinkled sand to walk on even in an indoor setting.

Many people prefer a wedding in spring and this is also an ideal time to pick your place and send some beach wedding invitations. A beach theme wedding is very easy to work with and can take place indoors or out. You might even prefer do both, if you so choose! Just remember to consider the weather and the time of year. The Caribbean is tropical and you don’t want to plan an outdoor beach wedding in hurricane season!
